Scott Bradbury resources - Trust in teams and Managing with integrity

Trust in teams

Trust is the most-quoted hallmark of high-performing teams. How team members work together, how they communicate and the way they value each other’s contribution to the team underpin how it functions. The nine-minute podcast from Scott Bradbury called Trust in Teams shares insights into why trust is so important in top-performing teams and how to look for signs to indicate whether trust is absent or present. You can find this resource on the intranet.

Managing with integrity

Displaying integrity establishes respect. Your honesty, dependability and ethical approach are revealed by the way you manage challenging situations. If you uphold high moral standards your team, and those around you, will follow your lead. This skills challenge from Scott Bradbury called Managing With Integrity allows you to assess your professional integrity using a range of workplace scenarios. You can find this resource on the intranet.

Reminder: Organisational Development has a range of digital learning resources on a variety of workplace issues available from Scott Bradbury. You can find these on their dedicated intranet page.

Please note that not all the videos referenced in the skills challenges are available in the current Scott Bradbury subscription. But users can still undertake the main skills challenge within each.

A familiar face has recently joined the team at LGIU - Paolo Vestri, our former manager of Policy, Improvements and Partnerships will be LGIU’s new Scotland Content Commissioner. The LGIU team, now including Paolo, is keen to connect with member councils to share plans for autumn content and hear what topics they should cover - this is a great opportunity for our authority to help shape Scotland-focused LGIU programmes. If you have any thoughts on this, please contact Toby Renouf.

Looking further ahead: LGIU’s Chief Executive, Jonathan Carr‑West, will speak at the Solace Scotland conference in September on Integrated Public Service Delivery. LGIU also plans to unveil several research reports over the autumn, including the annual finance survey, studies on local authority‑led nature restoration, and insights from a PhD project on the Scottish National Islands Plan. Additionally, LGIU’s Future Local Lab offers a new case study on how AI-powered tools are enhancing citizen services in places like New York City and Dublin.
