Ageing Well activities across East Lothian
The Ageing Well programme offers a wide range of activities to help older adults stay active, improve wellbeing and meet new people. Whether you enjoy team sports, swimming, outdoor activities or mindfulness, there are opportunities to take part across East Lothian.
Programme of activities
Buddy swimming
Would you like to go swimming but lack confidence? Our Buddy Swimming sessions offer support from Ageing Well volunteers, who will meet participants at the pool and join them in the water.
Where: Aubigny Sports Centre, Haddington
When: Thursdays (excluding school holidays)
Time: 10.30am to 11.30am
Cost: £3.45 per session

Walking rugby
Walking rugby is a great way to get active, have fun and meet new people. No experience is needed and complete beginners are welcome.
Where: Ross High Rugby Club
When: Thursdays
Time: 7pm to 7.45pm
Cost: Free
Refreshments are available afterwards in the clubhouse.

Walking hockey
Walking hockey provides a gentle introduction to hockey and is suitable for all abilities. Equipment is provided.
Where: Meadowmill Sports Centre
When: Every Thursday
Outdoor sessions (April to September)
Indoor sessions (October to March)
Cost: £8 for a two-month block
Sticks are provided and all abilities are welcome.

Mindfulness classes in Haddington and Longniddry
Mindfulness classes offer an opportunity to practise techniques that can help reduce stress, improve focus and support wellbeing.
Haddington beginners' class
Where: Star Room, John Gray Centre, Lodge Street
